National Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Report Card Online Survey

Carers WA recently provided input to the first Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Report Card. We were keen to ensure that the report card measured the availability of supports for family members and friends caring for a person with mental health issues. Our focus was on the implementation of systemic changes that facilitated information sharing between clinicians, consumers and their family and friends in a caring role. We also wanted the report card to highlight the benefits of adopting a family focus so that all members of a family are able to support each other when one is experiencing mental illness. The Report Card is expected to be available by the end of this year. More information about the Report Card is available from the National Mental Health Commission http://www.mentalhealthcommission.gov.au/
