Are you interested in gaining a career in the Care Industry: Aged Care, Community Service, Disability or Healthcare? The Carers Connect program has been specifically designed to assist by utilising your caring role skills and creating opportunities to gain a qualification that could lead to paid employment.
This program is aimed at carers (and those who were caring within the last 6 months) between the age of 16 and 65 and includes:
- Career counselling to assist with identifying skills and potential barriers plus creating an individualised goal plan
- Ongoing coaching and mentoring to support you in your pathway to employment
- Assistance to select and enrol in an accredited training course
- Access to a financial assistance package to help you achieve your career goal

To better understand motivators and barriers to education, the project team have also developed a carer survey. The goal of the survey is to gain information to help us understand potential barriers to education and employment and to help identify motivators and the unique needs of carers.
