Carers WA presents a workshop for carers exploring some of the common challenges experienced when caring for a family member, friend or loved one.
In this workshop we focus on loss and the process of grief as separate to the experience of bereavement. Being a carer often involves ambiguous loss, a loss that cannot be reconciled or resolved, resulting in feelings that are hard to hold and explore. Being a part of the workshop will help you find a perspective on the losses you may have experienced in your caring role and explore the process of grieving, allowing it to be seen and experienced and shared as a part of your life.
The workshop is externally facilitated by private practitioner, Louisa Holmes, a registered Counsellor, Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor.
This event is free to participants registered with Carers WA.
A complimentary light lunch will be included.
