Taking a break from everyday activities and caring responsibilities is an essential part of taking care of yourself, and the person that you care for. Getting out and doing something you enjoy by yourself, or with your family helps with your overall wellbeing. Thanks to the generosity of our Carers Week 2023 supporters, Carers WA is giving away tickets to AQWA and Perth Zoo to celebrate Carers Week.
AQWA Day Out
An awesome underwater adventure awaits you at the Aquarium of Western Australia (AQWA)!
Encounter the incredible and iconic marine life of Western Australia on a spectacular underwater journey. Come face-to-fin with giant sharks, stingrays, rescue turtles, baby crocodiles, ‘Nemo’ and so much more! As you move through the 45+ displays you’ll explore the coastal zones of WA and be immersed in stunning themed exhibits.
AQWA Tickets include:
- All day general admission to the aquarium
- Free map provided for you to self-guide through 40+ exhibits
- Highlights including: Underwater Tunnel, Touch Pool, Living Coral Reef & Turtle Pool Rescue Centre
- New favourites including: Ocean Playroom, Glowing Ocean Exhibit, Marina Bay playground
- Access to AQWA Cafe & Gift Shop
- Free 4 hour parking
Tickets do not include priority entry, and must be scanned upon entry. All tickets are valid from 9am-4pm, arrive at your preferred time with last admissions at 3.30pm.
Perth Zoo Day Out
Ready for a wild day out?
Located in South Perth and just five minutes from the CBD, Perth Zoo is home to animals and plants from all corners of the globe.
Go for a bushwalk and discover koalas, quokkas, emus and kangaroos! Explore the Asian Rainforest and experience Asian Elephants, Sumatran Tigers, Sun Bears or gibbons. Wander through the African Savannah and encounter rhinos, zebras, giraffes, lions and meerkats. These are just some of the animals you could meet from all corners of the globe at Perth Zoo.

- All day general admission to the Perth Zoo
- Access to Perth Zoo Cafe & Gift Shop

- The competition is open to anyone who is in an unpaid caring role and is registered with Carers WA.
