Are you a young carer aged 18–25 with a passion for making a difference? Join YACWA for a dynamic and interactive Young Changemaker Workshop, designed specifically for young carers!
This workshop will empower you to explore advocacy through a young carer lens. You’ll learn how to drive change in your community, overcome barriers, and amplify your voice.
What you’ll explore:
✅ What is advocacy, looking at different types and levels of advocacy.
✅ Barriers to change.
✅ Different ways of advocating.
✅ What your role can be in advocacy.
✅ Look at examples of young people making change to get inspired.
✅ Plan and problem solve on problem.
✅ Pitch solutions to rest of the group.
We have five spots available for young carers based in Perth, and we’re also offering two fully funded places for regional young carers to attend in person (including travel and accommodation).
