Description

Fiona Stanley Hospital Mental Health Consumer and Carer Advisory Group – This committee advocates for service delivery that meets the needs of the FSH Mental Health Service Consumers and Carers. Members act as a liaison service between consumers and carers to identify issues from their perspective and provide advice and feedback to the FSH MH Service Executive, whilst working to reduce the stigma and discrimination of mental health issues.

Carer Experience Required:

  • An understanding of the mental health care, concerns and needs of carers
  • A commitment to improving the safety and quality of care and services
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and an ability to work in a team with energy and enthusiasm

A Carer representative is a valued team member who advises and advocates on matters relating to the planning development, delivery, and evaluation of health services at Fiona Stanley Hospital Mental Health Service

We are looking for people who have cared/caring for a person with a lived experience of a mental illness in one of the following areas: Youth, Adult, AOD, Eating Disorders, Women’s mental health or Perinatal. We embrace diversity and strongly encourage expressions of interest from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people from culturally diverse backgrounds, and people with disabilities.

12pm – 1pm. Second Wednesday of the month
