The 10-member group will provide important ideas and feedback on how RPBG can best meet the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Group members will choose the ideas and projects they work on and provide advice to staff. The lived experience of each group member will be valuable in informing our health services. A lived experience recognizes the effects of ongoing negative historical impacts and or specific events on the social and emotional wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. It encompasses the cultural, spiritual, physical, emotional and mental wellbeing of the individual, family, or community.
Rotating between the following sites: RPH, Victoria Square, Perth & Bentley Health Service, 18 to 56 Mills Street, Bentley. Online attendance is also an option.
The day and time of meetings will be decided once the members have been appointed. There will be 10 meetings a year. Once a year there will also be a meeting with other consumer and carer groups working across RPBG.
