Consumer and Carer Representation Opportunities with CAHS: The Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) actively seeks consumer and carer representatives to join a variety of groups. They value the feedback and perspectives of consumers — the people who use the services at CAHS — as they play an important role in shaping the care they provide.
What is meant by ‘consumer’?
At CAHS, the term ‘consumer’ refers to anyone who uses or benefits from their services. This includes children, young people, parents, siblings, carers, and families. Whether you visit as a patient, a family member, or a carer, you are considered a consumer of services.

If you are interested in becoming a Carer Representative with CAHS, please submit an expression of interest. Once submitted, the Carer Representative team will provide you with a link to the CAHS website, where you can view the individual positions and apply directly through their platform.
If you decide to apply for any opportunities, we kindly ask that you notify the Carer Representative team of the position(s) you are applying for, so we can keep our records up to date.
Carer Representative’s experience required:
Only carers/consumers who have previously accessed CAHS services (in the last five years), are currently accessing CAHS services, or are eligible to access CAHS services in the future — including parents/carers of a consumer — are eligible to apply for this committee.
