    Vocational Pathways Program

    We recognise that caring responsibilities can impact education, employment and career opportunities. The Vocational Pathways Program provides personalised coaching and practical support to help carers explore, prepare for and achieve vocational goals while maintaining their caring role.

    The Vocational Pathways Program can assist carers to:

    • Explore career, education and training pathways
    • Build confidence and identify transferable skills
    • Prepare for employment, including resumes, job applications and interviews
    • Return to work after time away from the workforce
    • Access volunteering opportunities and community participation pathways
    • Explore self-employment and small business opportunities
    • Sustain employment, study or volunteering through ongoing support

    Eligibility

    The Vocational Pathways Program is available to:

    • Carers registered with Carer Gateway
    • Adult carers
    • Young carers aged 14-25 years
    • Former carers (up to 12 months following the end of their caring role)
    • Have capacity to participate in vocational coaching and pathway support

    Referrals

    Carers may self-refer or be referred by another service, organisation, professional, family member or Carers WA program.
