Mental Health Partnering with Consumers Committee

Description

This committee is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a coordinated and systematic approach to:

  • The governance, delivery, and monitoring of person-centered care.
  • Consumer and carer participation in service planning, policy review and creation, service design, and delivery of mental health systems across SMHS MH.
  • Review, evaluate and monitor systems, process, audit, and programs to ensure compliance with the requirements of the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Partnering with Consumers Standard.

Carer Experience Required: Knowledge and experience of representing the carer perspective within a mental health service and willingness to learn the requirements of the ‘Partnering with consumers’ standard as described by the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS). Ability and or experience of speaking up and speaking out to ensure the carer perspective is understood and considered in all relevant discussions.
