The Department of Health Western Australia (WA) are calling for expressions of interest for representatives to join its End-of-Life and Palliative Care Advisory Committee (EOLPCAC). Palliative care is an approach to care that improves the quality of life of individuals and their families / carers that are facing problems associated with a life-limiting or terminal illness, through the prevention and relief of suffering. We are currently seeking people who are passionate about driving meaningful improvements across health systems and services and / or interested in end-of-life and palliative care.
EOLPCAC provides advice on the development, implementation and review of end-of-life and palliative care health systems and services in WA. It focuses on collaboration across services that support and care for people with life-limiting illness and their families, and provides strategic direction on implementation of the WA End-of-life and Palliative Care Strategy 2018-2028.
Issues that may be discussed include:
Generally held online via MS Teams
A meeting frequency of three (3) to four (4) times a year for ninety (90) minutes
Meetings are generally held on Thursdays between 3pm – 4:30pm however future date and times are to be confirmed.
