Carers WA Group Counselling
Carers WA have commenced group counselling for 2019. Group counselling offers a therapeutic environment, opportunities for support and feedback, improved communication, a space to talk honestly and directly about feelings, gain insight and understanding in one’s own thoughts, feelings, beliefs and perceptions in the world. Being part of the group experience can improve self-confidence, esteem and identity, and bring more balance to the expectations of one’s own life as well as others.
Facilitated by the Carers WA Counselling team, Carers WA offer two support groups where carers have the opportunity to share their experiences, learn from each other and learn to manage the impact and stresses of their caring role more effectively.
Carers Mixed Group: Tuesdays, 10.00am - 11.30am
Dementia Carers Group: Wednesdays, 10.00am - 11.30am
All groups are run fortnightly from February through to December (excluding school holidays) at The Carer Centre, 182 Lord St, Perth. To register, please contact the Carers WA Counselling Team on 1800 007 332 or firstname.lastname@example.org
