Description

The Inpatient Older Adult Mental Health Service (OAMHS) Advisory Committee (the Committee) is the management body responsible for leading and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care across the admitted OAMHS (Selby In-patients; Osborne Park In-patients; Hospital in the Home; Consultation Liaison (SCGH & OPH); Specialist Dementia Care Program). The Committee is a forum that oversees the development, implementation and evaluation of operational goals and plans relevant to the OAMHS inpatient services.

The Committee is responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe, quality and effective services. The Committee is responsible for enacting directions from the Mental Health, Public Health & Dental Services (MHPHDS) Specialties Leadership Committee. The Committee will ensure the monitoring and adherence to National Safety and Quality standards. The impact on patient, staff and organisational safety will be considered when making business decisions.

Carer experience required: We are looking for a Carer Representative who has lived experience of caring for an older adult with a mental health condition who has accessed in-patient services from any public hospital.
