Carers WA are committed to ensuring the health and safety of our carers, their families, staff and the wider community. Acting on the advice from health authorities regarding the rapidly unfolding situation with the spread of COVID-19, Carers WA would like to inform all our members and other stakeholders about some changes to our services and events. To minimise the spread of the coronavirus, Carers WA has made the decision to temporarily cease activities that require face to face contact. This means that we have closed our offices to the public and our staff are working remotely.
We will continue to offer support to carers over the phone, as well as via videoconference and by email. All Carers WA events, including workshops, social support groups, forums and presentations have been postponed until further notice but we plan is to reinstate full face to face services as soon as it is safe to do so following Health Department advice. At this stage we cannot provide a timeframe when our office will reopen. We are monitoring the situation daily and we will continue to keep you informed through our communications channels.
