Carers WA presents a series of informative workshops for carers delving into some of the common challenges associated with caring for a family member, friend or loved one and exploring self-supporting behaviours and skills to help build longevity and resilience within the caring role.
This Boundary Building workshop is externally facilitated by private practitioner, Louisa Holmes, a registered Counsellor, Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor, and co-attended by the Carers WA Counselling team. In any relationship, boundaries are important for creating safety and security. It is key to having a healthy space in which to “be” with people. The caring role can often compromise and challenge those boundaries through necessity, as well as the boundaries people on the outside of the caring relationships.
The workshop will explore:
- What healthy boundaries are;
- How you can identify your own boundaries;
- Some ways of creating boundaries; and
- Identifying the places where you feel your boundaries are not supporting you.
Cost: Free to registered Carers WA carers. A complimentary light lunch will be provided at the conclusion of the workshop at 1.00 pm for all attendees.
To RSVP, visit the registration form.
Registrations are essential for all workshops.
