This is a chance for young carers to take a step into the shoes of an engineer and explore the exciting science behind building bridges.
Using simple materials, get hands-on experience and learn how to create structures that are strong, stable, and seriously impressive. But it’s not just about bridges, this workshop is all about young carers taking a well-deserved break from their caring role, meeting other young carers, and enjoying a day of creativity and fun!
Here’s what your young carer can look forward to:
🛠️ Build Their Masterpiece: Young Carers will design and construct their very own bridge, will it stand tall and pass the ultimate strength test?
💡 Learn STEM the Fun Way: Discover the mechanics behind bridge building with engaging, hands-on activities.
🍕 Lunch is on Us: Your young carer will enjoy a delicious meal to keep their energy high and their brain buzzing!
🤝 Connect with Others: Plus your young carer will meet other young carers, in a supportive, fun environment.
This workshop is led by the awesome team at The Australian STEM Project, who will guide every step of the way, no experience needed!
