Carers WA would like to invite young carers aged 8 years – 25 years, and their families to a Family Picnic at Whiteman Park’s Pia’s Place All Abilities Playground.
This picnic will provide an opportunity for families to be informed about the supports available for young carers and a chance to meet the team and engage in some egg-citing activities: easter egg hunt, arts and craft, games and exploring the amazing parks. This young carer family event is suitable for all abilities.
All children under 18 must be supervised by a parent and/or guardian at all times. This is a non-alcohol event.
Eligibility: Young Carers (8 – 25 years) and families
When: Wednesday, 13th April 2022
Time: 10 am – 1 pm
Where: Whiteman Park Pia’s Place- Mussel Pool East
Provided: Light morning tea and lunch provided by Young Carer’s Team
What to bring: Sunscreen & Hats and Picnic Rugs (optional)
Young carers MUST be registered with Carers WA to be considered. Your Expression of Interest can be submitted by completing the online RSVP form here by Friday, 8th April 2022.
These events are popular, and availability is limited, so get in early!
Following registration, you will be asked to complete a consent form. Only those who have submitted a consent form will be considered and you will be notified no later than one week prior to the event if you are successful. If you are not contacted your application has not been successful.
