Session 1: Protecting Your Rights: Understanding Elder Abuse, Enduring Powers of Guardianship & Attorney
As we age, it’s essential to plan for the future and protect ourselves from financial, emotional, and physical harm. This session will explore elder abuse, how to recognise the signs, and what legal protections are available. We’ll also cover what are Enduring Powers of Guardianship (EPG), Enduring Powers of Attorney (EPA), Advance Health Directives, Wills— and key legal tools that allow you to appoint trusted individuals to make decisions on your behalf if you lose capacity. Learn how to safeguard your rights, make informed choices, and ensure your wishes are respected.
