Carers WA invites you to come and enjoy some self-care through watercolour art, yoga and meditation. The workshop is designed to help you take a break from your daily routine and find peace and relaxation through creative expression, gentle movements, and mindfulness practices. You can even bring a friend! (Your friend doesn’t need to be a carer).
During the workshop, connect or reconnect with your creative side as artist Michelle Penny guides you step-by-step to create your own watercolour artwork. The focus is on having fun so you don’t need to have any experience or be an artist.
The gentle yoga and meditation workshop will be guided by Cath Dalle, inviting people to slow down, be kind and listen to their bodies. Yoga is a powerful self-care practice that connects us back to ourselves, to our breath, and to this moment. Cath will offer a yoga class that includes elements of meditation and opportunities to lay down and rest. If you are unable to get down and up from the floor, we will have some chairs available.
Please let us know if you have mobility challenges so we can accommodate. No yoga experience necessary and all yoga mats and props are provided.
Cost: Free | Light lunch provided.
