The House of Representatives Standing Committee on Health, Aged Care and Disability is seeking feedback as part of its inquiry into access to and affordability of medical specialists in Australia.
The inquiry will examine access to specialist care across metropolitan, regional and rural communities, including workforce shortages, waiting times, referral pathways, affordability and out-of-pocket costs. It will also consider the impact of delayed or missed care on health outcomes and explore innovative models of care that may improve access to medical specialists.
Carers WA wants to hear from unpaid carers about their experiences accessing specialist medical care, including any barriers they have faced, the costs involved, and the impact of delays in receiving treatment or support. Your feedback will help ensure the experiences and needs of carers are represented in responses to the inquiry.
Carers will be renumerated for their time ($37.50 per hour (2.5 hours attendance, 1 hour reading)).
(Tuesday) 10:00 am - 12:30 am
Carers WA 182 Lord Street, Perth 6000
