Carers WA presents a workshop series for carers exploring some of the common challenges experienced when caring for a family member, friend or loved one. The best part – you can access these online meditation and restoration sessions from the comfort of your own home.
Rest might feel like a foreign concept in today’s times but it’s truly a vital piece of the puzzle. When rested, we access more tenderness, spaciousness and compassion – for both ourselves and for others.
Over three evenings, we will share some simple practices that relax, restore and replenish. We will look at creating routines that reclaim sleep as a restful experience and learn how to bring meditation into any moment of the day. No previous experience necessary and everyone is welcome. We will use the Zoom platform so you’ll need internet access and quiet space to sit or lie down if you prefer.
These sessions are facilitated by Erin Griffin, who combines her lived experience as a carer with her background and passion for community mental health, yoga, and meditation.
These Zoom session will run from for 45 minutes over three weeks, Tuesday 22nd February, 1st March and 8th March.
Once RSVP’d, the Wellness team will provide you with a Zoom link.
If you are interested in the event or would like more information, please fill out the RSVP and a Carers WA staff member will be in contact.
