Event Details

Carers WA presents a series of informative workshops for carers delving into some of the common challenges associated with caring for a family member, friend or loved one and exploring self-supporting behaviours and skills to help build longevity and resilience within the caring role.

“The Pit” workshop is externally facilitated by private practitioner, Louisa Holmes, a registered Counsellor, Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor, and co-attended by the Carers WA Counselling team. “The Pit” focuses on how carers can come to feel trapped or stuck in the “dark of the pit” in their caring role and struggle to find the way out into the light.

The workshop will explore:

  • How we acknowledge the uncertainty in our lives;
  • Connecting our assumptions, expectations and values;
  • How to identify our needs;
  • Developing perspectives; and
  • Offering a strategy to support the carer on their path.

Cost: Free to registered Carers WA carers. A complimentary light lunch will be provided at the conclusion of the workshop at 1.00pm for all attendees.

To RSVP, visit the registration form.

Registrations are essential for all workshops.
