Filming Our Future

Our Choice, Our Voice, Our Way

Three frames featuring previous participants of theCarers WA Different Lens Initiative

Following on from the success of the Different Lens initiative, Carers WA and Screenwest are working together in another opportunity for people with lived experience of disability to share their sporting and physical activity stories.

We are looking for 15 community members, sporting and physical activity clubs and/or community groups who live with a disability or deliver disability sport programs and are willing to share their stories of how they contribute to their communities.

What we aim to achieve

Through sport and physical activity, the aims of this initiative are to contribute to the building of resilient, cohesive and harmonious communities.

The initiative aims to ensure individuals, families and communities have the best opportunity to thrive and have the capacity to respond to emerging needs and challenges.

How to apply

If you have an inclusion story that promotes “Filming our future” through sport and recreation tell us your story by:

  • Emailing your story on a word document to ccdteam@carerswa.asn.au
