Each year, Carers Week runs during the third week of October (11th– 17th October 2020) and provides the Australian community with a chance to recognise the contribution and courage of carers. Over 2.65 million Australians provide help and support to a family member or friend, saving the Australian community more than $77.9 billion per year.
We asked WA to download our #ShareYouCare sign and post an image to show support for family carers during the awareness week. Over 40 organisations participated and many more individuals.
The #ShareYouCare Sticker Project will see 20,000 stickers – designed by a series of established and emerging designers, and artists – distributed across over 100 community locations WA wide, specifically for young people in our community.
From school books, laptops and lunch boxes to mirrors, phones, car bumpers and wallets, we want to see these stickers stuck and shared state-wide; serving as a reminder of young carers in our community and that Carers WA are here to help.
Renowned Western Australian artist, Stormie Mills will be leading the charge as our feature artist in the #ShareYouCare Sticker project alongside our three winning artists:
