Carers WA is establishing a Youth Advisory Group (YAG). This group will help shape what youth engagement looks like at Carers WA and will have a say in programs, policies and initiatives that affect young carers.
- Youth Advisory Council members will:
- Meet monthly (approx.)
- Get paid $30/hour plus travel costs
- Receive training and support

A young carer is a young person who provides unpaid care and support to a family member and/or friend living with disability, a mental health challenge, long term health condition (including a chronic condition or terminal illness), an alcohol or other drug dependency, or who is frail aged.
