We all want to have a say in what happens in the last part of our lives. By making plans that cover your future care, lifestyle, health and finances, you’re not only working out what you want, you are also making things easier on those around you. This process is called Advance Care Planning.
Palliative Care WA will be holding two in-person Advance Care Planning workshops in March as part of National Advance Care Planning Week 2023 from 20th to 26th March 2023 at their headquarters in Bedbrook Place, Shenton Park:
- Workshop 1: Tuesday, 21 March 2023, from 10.00am to 12.00pm
- Workshop 2: Thursday, 23 March 2023, from 10.00am to 12.00pm
About the workshops
These face-to-face workshops will cover information on what is involved in Advance Care Planning, the Advance Health Directive forms, how to get started, and how to talk with your loved ones about your end-of-life wishes. It is a practical and interactive workshop where you will have the chance to get your questions answered.
Who is this for?
This workshop is suitable for any community members regardless of age, health or background. You don’t need any prior knowledge of Advance Care Planning to take part.
Thanks to funding from the WA Department of Health, this workshop is free for anyone living in Western Australia.
