Peer Support Toolkit for Young Carers in Schools
Isolation is one of the biggest challenges young carers face. The Peer Support Toolkit from Carers WA helps schools create safe, supportive spaces where young carers can have respite time, connect with peers and reflect on aspirations.
Each toolkit (available for Primary and Secondary) includes 8 ready-to-print activities focused on:
- Celebrating strengths
- Setting goals and aspirations
- Help-seeking and support networks
- Emotional awareness
- Building resilience
Flexible and easy to run with up to 10 students, the toolkit empowers young carers and their peers to feel seen, supported, and valued.

Terms and Conditions
- The giveaway is open to Primary and Secondary schools located in Western Australia
- Entrants must be authorised representatives of the school (e.g., teachers, wellbeing coordinators, school administrators).
- Only one entry per school is permitted.
- Prizes: 10 schools will each receive 1 Peer Support Kit designed to help run a peer group for young carers.
- Entries must be received by Sunday 26th October.
- Winners will be selected at random from eligible entries.
- Only winners will be notified via the contact details provided in the entry form.
- Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other alternatives.
- Carers WA reserves the right to substitute any item in the kit with an item of equal or greater value if necessary.
- By entering, schools agree to allow Carers WA to contact them regarding the giveaway and related initiatives.
- Personal information collected will be handled in accordance with Carers WA’s Privacy Policy.
- Carers WA reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the giveaway if necessary due to unforeseen circumstances.
