Carers WA is looking for three young carers aged 16 to 25 to join our Youth Advisory Group (YAG) for a 12-month term, with the option to extend for another 12 months. This is your chance to make a real impact and help shape the future of youth engagement at Carers WA!
As a member of the YAG, you’ll:
✨ Develop Valuable Skills – Take part in training and upskilling opportunities such as advocacy, policy writing, and working with diverse communities.
✨ Make Your Voice Heard – Have a say in programs, policies, and initiatives that directly affect young carers.
✨ Meet Movers & Shakers – Engage with Carers WA staff, advocacy groups, politicians, and other key stakeholders to drive meaningful change.
What’s the Commitment?
Monthly meetings on Tuesday evenings (4.00pm–6.00pm) at Carers WA, 182 Lord Street, Perth. This is a hybrid role with flexibility for in-person or online participation, and consideration for your busy life, including exams, cultural holidays, caring responsibilities, and location
Additional opportunities for small projects outside of meetings.

Who Can Apply?

✅ Willing to share ideas and attend monthly meetings.
✅ Supported by networks to help you participate.
✅ Ready to apply for a Working with Children Check (if over 18).
✅ Under 18? Have your parent/guardian’s consent.
